The Odin Firemen’s Picnic is scheduled to open Thursday night for its three day run.

Odin Fire Chief Greg Smith says Thursday night will be the traditional family night.

“Arm bands are $25.  We will have food, cake walk and normal entertainment on Thursday night.  And then Friday afternoon at 4pm we start registration for the car show and it will go to 7pm and we will hand out all the awards for that.  We will also have all the carnival rides and food ready at 6pm on Friday night.”

Smith says everything comes to an end on Saturday.

“A sound off that starts at 11, should go to 1:30-2pm who knows.  We will have food for the Sound Off and then Saturday night we will open again at 6pm with the food and carnival rides and cake walk of course, and then we will do the raffle drawing at 9pm and then the fireworks at 10pm.”

Smith says all the proceeds will go towards future equipment needs of the Fire Department.
