Longtime educator Pat Ashby was honored at the 2024 Centralia High School retirement ceremony Wednesday afternoon at CHS.
Of his future plans, Ashby said,
“So, when I retire, I plan on playing some golf, and perhaps do a little bit of travel.”
Ashby, who spent 28 years in education and the last 19 years at CHS, is currently a guidance counselor at the school, as well as being chair of the social studies department. Ashby was the sole staff member to retire this year.
Family, friends, CHS staff and previous retirees were among those who attended this year’s event.
