The Centralia Community Youth Center will present its annual Blues Night concert this Saturday, featuring two St. Louis area musical acts.

The event will take place at the Centralia Cultural Society, with doors opening at 6 p.m. After a cocktail hour from 6 to 7, violinist Bell Darris will take the stage, followed by Charles “Skeet” Rodgers and the Inner City Blues Band from 8 to 10. A deejay will provide music between sets.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served and drinks will be available for purchase during the Blues Night event.

Melissa Kelly, president of the Centralia Community Youth Center Board, says proceeds from the event will assist the youth center with its operations.

“They go toward the center itself, but we have our summer program that’s just going to be starting, so proceeds will go to help sponsor that, and then we have the new addition that was built, that we are currently transitioning into, so proceeds will go to help furnish that, as well.”

Tickets for the show are $35. According to Kelly, tickets are still available and there are multiple ways for people to find them.

“So you can go on Eventbrite. We have the link on our Facebook group page, and then you can go to the center and purchase tickets at the center. Any board member has tickets, and tickets are available at the door that evening.”

Kelly notes that guests will have the option to use Cash App when purchasing tickets at the door.
