Severe thunderstorms expected Monday night across South Central Illinois

The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms are expected across South Central Illinois late Monday night.

Large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are all possible.   The potential for one or two strong tornadoes has increased Monday afternoon, particularly in the Enhanced (orange) area of the outlook.   The threat of damaging winds and tornadoes increases Monday evening.
