A big crowd was on hand as the Easter Egg Hunt in the Wamac Park was held Sunday afternoon.
Wamac Mayor Butch Mathus has overseen the event since its beginning.
“Its been a wonderful event. This is the 14th annual hunt. We had 15,000 eggs over 70 bikes, 700 gift bags, over 80 Easter Baskets and its a wonderful event. It took awhile to hide those eggs, 15,000 is quite a bit. I want to give a tip of the cap to everyone who made this event a success and look forward to next year.”
With the goodie bags, Mathus wanted to send every child home with something.
