A 26-year-old Centralia man has been charged with possession of between 5 and 15 grams of methamphetamine after a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy investigated a vehicle parked in the roadway with a driver slumped over the steering wheel.

Deputies say Zechariah Pigg ended up being asleep, but the car had been reported as stolen.  As the investigation continued, Pigg was allegedly found in possession of 11.6 grams of methamphetamine with other meth reportedly found in the car.

The incident occurred on Barton Road near Junction City around 6:30  Tuesday morning.

Initially Pigg was also arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, but that was not pursued at the request of the owner of the vehicle.
