The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce Home and Community Expo returns this weekend, with the event again being held in the former Buchheit location in Fairview Park Plaza.

Chamber Director Marcus Holland says the show will feature dozens of vendors from the Centralia area and beyond, offering services and products to address needs both inside and outside the home.

“The home and community expo will feature businesses that are not from our community — people that are regional, offering services for home renovations or home improvements — but then we do have local organizations and local businesses as well. It’s just a one-stop shop if you’re looking for something to improve your home or your life. We’ll have two food trucks and the wineries out there, so it is going to be a good time anyway, but with over 50 vendors (and) 78 booth spaces, it’s the biggest home show in our region. … We have roofing, gutters, windows, home construction. We’ll have golf cars, lawn mowers, tractors, vehicles, hot tubs, then some organizations for the community.”

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital will once again provide coupons at the expo for reduced-cost blood panel screenings, which can be redeemed within the next month. In addition, Holland says the event will feature hourly presentations intended to educate guests on an assortment of topics.

“There are presentations and demonstrations on the hour every day, so something will be happening if you’re there to learn a little bit more from the banks about fraud, or from Salem Travel about their travel show and where they’re going, or the Little Egypt CEO program, or even the college comedy troupe is coming … so there’s lots of stuff going on.”

The Home and Community Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the expo is free.
