The Vandalia Vandals dominated their IHSA State Wrestling Duals quarterfinal held at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington shutting out Rickover Naval Academy of Chicago 82-0.
Vandalia will wrestle in the state semifinals this morning at 9am against Coal City who beat Riverdale 54-13. Roxana knocked off Tolono Unity in their quarterfinal 48-30 and will get Woodstock Marian in the semifinal after their 54-12 win over LeRoy. The state 3rd place and Championship matches in all 3 classes will start at 6pm tonight.
In 2a quarterfinals, Mahomet Seymour lost to Brother Rice 36-27. Brother Rice will wrestle Washington in the semifinals followed by Chatham Glenwood and Lombard Montini.
In 3a, St Charles East will wrestle Chicago Mt Carmel in the semifinals and Libertyville takes on Yorkville.
