Due to the success and sellout of the Missoula Children’s Theater, it will be expanded to two sessions this summer at the Salem Community Theatre.
The program will be overseen again by Kendra Herman who says registration is totally online this year and is now active at SalemIlTheatre.org. Incoming first graders up to high school seniors are invited to participate in one or both of the two week theatre camps.
Gulliver’s Travels will be performed the first week of June 24th to the 29th and Jack and Beanstalk the second week of July 8th through the 13th. Workshops and rehearsals will be offered each week taught by the show directors from the Missoula Children’s Theater who travel the country each summer leading up to the performances on the final day of the camp.
The cost to participate is $75 each week.
Herman says this year is a test run to see if two weeks is something that can be successful for kids in the community.
Tickets to attend the performances of Gulliver’s Travel Camp on Saturday, June 29th, and Jack and the Beanstalk on Saturday, July 13th, will be $5. Showtimes will be 3 pm and 5:30 pm. Tickets will be sold online and at the door.
