Tigers Win First Class L State Title In 14 Years With Win Over Rival Rams

The Centralia Tigers won their first Class L State Title since 2010 as they beat Casey Mount Vernon last night at Rend Lake College 69-44.  Casey got off to a quick start leading 16-10 after the opening quarter, but Kenny Bratton scored 20 of his game high 27 points in the first half to help the Tigers to the big trophy.  Strowder also was in double figures with 10.  Evans led Casey with 14 and Branden added 12.  Centralia’s season ends with a 26-3 record and Casey’s season finishes at 25-5.

Carbondale won the 3rd place game over Trico 69-44.
