Lady Bobcats Still Undefeated….Iuka Overcomes Injury To Beat Selmaville…Raccoon Beats CC

The Franklin Park volleyball team is back in action this weekend hosting their tournament.  They will enter at 10-0 after winning at Flora last night 25-9, 25-4.  The JV lost in straight sets 21-25, 17-25.

Last night, Selmaville traveled to Iuka as the Lady Pirates honored their 8th graders.  Before the varsity match could begin, Iuka suffered a loss with 8th grader Kinnley Cripps going down in warm-ups with an injured ankle.  She was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and will meet with an orthopedic specialist with a couple of fractures according to her family.

When the match began, Iuka played motivated and finished the night off with a straight sets win over their rival Rockets 26-24, 25-12.  Selmaville won the JV match 25-15, 15-10 behind 17 points from Ava Donoho and 13 from Brylee Carter.

Raccoon beat Central City 25-19, 25-17 with Maddie Schaeffer going for 11 service points and Addie Wottowa added 8.  Raccoon also won the JV game 25-23, 25-17 with 7 points from Kinsley Gore.
