The IHSA girls regionals continued last night.
South Central advanced to the Christ Our Rock finals with their 54-48 win over North Clay. Taegan Webster had 19 in the win, and now needs 22 points to tie Abbi Hahns all time girls scoring record of 1423. SC will play Okawville in tomorrow’s regional final.
Also in 1a at Cobden, Goreville beat Elkville 75-18.
In 2a at Mater Dei, Nashville advanced with a 52-28 win over Althoff and will get Mater Dei in the finals after their easy 51-27 win over Greenville.
Also at Carterville it was the hosts over Anna 61-28 and Vienna beat DuQuoin 74-43. At Virden, Gillespie got past Pawnee 56-50 and Hillsboro over Auburn 45-38.
In 3a, at Waterloo, Mount Vernon opened up with a win over Mascoutah 60-23 and will play East St Louis who beat Waterloo 51-39. At Charleston, Highland beat the hosts 63-21 and Mattoon over Olney 48-36.
At Danville, Mahomet Seymour beat the hosts 47-41. At Springfield Southeast, the hosts lost to Taylorville 74-39.
