Fresh off the boys program winning their 2nd straight IHSA state title and 3rd overall in the program’s history, the Lady Wildcats are looking to make some history for themselves. Salem finished 3rd at the Carterville Sectional at SI Bowl on Saturday. Jaeda Rollinson was 2nd individually with a 1219 series or 203 average. Collinsville was the first place team followed by Mascoutah, Salem and O’Fallon who all advance.
After Rollinson, Olivia Paulson added an 1156 series, Ava Birch 1141, Elena Vanhoutin 1088 and Willow Amburgey 1015. Also on the team are Brooklyn Hamilton, Mallory Hopkin and Kialee Hardin.
Salem advances to Cherry Bowl in Rockford for the state tournament starting Friday with top teams and individuals moving into Saturday’s finals.
