Centralia High School downed Taylorville 83 to 24 on Senior Night.
The Orphans shutout Taylorville in the first quarter when pulling to a 12-0 lead. Centralia scored 31 second quarter points to take a 31 to 8 half-time lead.
Centralia was led by Michael Organ and Dustyn Collins with 15 points apiece. Theo Halut was also in double figures with 11.
No Taylorville players made it into double figures.
Centralia honored its basketball seniors as well as seniors in the band.
Seniors on the boys team that were honored were Daryle Jones, the son of Sharonda Johnson and Daryle Jones; foreign exchange student Theo Halut recognized with host parents Angela and Tony Stoecklin; Cruz Harlan, son of Molly and Derek Harlan; Logan Meier, son of Jona and Dusty Meier; Armond Moore, the son of Geutanna Williams Moore; and Malik Myers, son of Leslie Groff.
Senior members of the girls basketball team honored were Makayla Hamilton, the daughter of Valerie Brinkmeyer and Tony Grubb; Hailey Johnson, the daughter of Heather Johnson; Camryn Mannino, the daughter of Cheri and Wade Mannino; and Gracey Wooldridge, daughter of Stacey and Craig Wooldridge.
Senior band members honored were Christian Hernandez, son of Claudia Martinez and Adaliat Hernandez, Townsend Hill, the son of Michelle Hill; Kaleigh Hull, the daughter of Cheriann Bathon; Abigail Miranda, daughter of Jessica Altenbaumer; Brendan Pokojski, son of Nikki and Jessed Pokojski; and Aubri Thompson, daughter of Maria and Kevin Thompson.
