SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary presents a check for $60,000 to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation and the Respiratory Therapy team.

SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon has added state-of-the-art respiratory equipment following a $60,000 donation from the hospital’s auxiliary.

Critically ill patients will now benefit from two high-end medical ventilators that provide life-saving breathing support for infants, children, and adults.

Respiratory Care Manager Trisha Barczewski says they are so grateful for the hard work that the Auxiliary does to raise money so we can purchase new state-of-the-art equipment.  She notes the purchase of the new ventilators will allow highly skilled and experienced Pulmonologists, Critical Care physicians, and Respiratory Therapists to provide the most advanced ventilator support to our patients in need of this intervention.

These state-of-the-art ventilators add to the advanced technology available at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital and allow team members to deliver advanced care for even the most critically ill patients. The funds donated are just another demonstration of the Auxiliary’s continued support of the Mission of SSM Health.
