The Salem Lady Wildcats are preparing for their trip to SI Bowl this weekend for Sectional action after qualifying through the Highland Regional along with Highland, Wesclin and Lebanon. Salem’s team consists of Senior’s Olivia Paulson, Elena Vanhoutin, Jaeda Rollinson and Kialee Hardin. Sophomores Willow Amburgey, Ava Birch and Mallory Hopkins along with freshmen Brooklyn Hamilton.
Individually qualifying from Highland were Mater Dei’s Lynn Shirley and Katie McElhose. Breese Central’s Brooke Dulle, Slone Winkeler and Grace Henrichs along with Alexis Livesay of Christ Our Rock.
Mount Vernon also advanced out of the Carbondale Regional along with Herrin, Anna and Carbondale. The Lady Rams consist of Aly Stutts, Briley Dent, Jayda VanMatre, Olivia VanKampen and Brianna Schoenrock.
Advancing out of Belleville East were Collinsville, O’Fallon, Mascoutah and Belleville East. Along with individual qualifiers Maddie Brandenburger, Emma Matsantonis and Audrey Hawkins of Columbia along with Freeburg’s Miranda Duff, Madison Ellis and Mia Neighbors.
