Centralia Police arrested 45-year-old Patrick Taylor of West 4th Street in Centralia for violation of an order of protection. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Salem Firemen were called out twice on Monday. The first call was a small grass fire along the should of I-57 at the 115-mile marker a mile south of the Salem exit. There was no damage. Firemen were called out Monday night to the Quality Inn when a man became stuck in the elevator. A Salem Police Officer who was first on the scene was able to get the operating running again before firemen arrived.
