The Central City Citians will play Monday afternoon in the Class S State Quarterfinals against Tamaroa/St Bruno after the Citians eliminated Rome on Saturday morning 36-21 in a game heard on WJBD. St Bruno advanced with a 56-26 win over Cisne. Also in first round action, Altamont Lutheran beat Waltonville 50-19, St Mary Catholic over St Joe Olney 45-27, Jonesboro lost to Our Lady Mt Carmel 57-43, Bartelso over Galatia 60-24, Bluford/Farrington knocked off Marissa 43-36 and St Peter and Paul Catholic beat Cairo 54-44.
