Today is the opening of the Class S state boys tournament at Rend Lake. I’ll be down there for the first game at 9:30 featuring Central City and Rome. The Citians are 29-1 on the season. The winner will advance to Monday’s semifinal against either Tamaroa/St Bruno or Cisne. I’ll have the play by play today at 9:30 on 100.1 FM and WJBDradio.com.
The Class M Tournament got underway last night. Nashville opened with a 36-21 win over Chester, Gallatin County beat Unity Point 38-30, Aviston over Sesser/Valier 61-51 and Joseph Arthur knocked off Woodlawn 67-53. The semifinals are Tuesday night with Nashville and Gallatin County at 6 followed by Aviston and Joseph Arthur.

Casey Mount Vernon punched their ticket to the Class L state tournament with a win at West Frankfrot yesterday over Hamilton County 57-22. This morning at 11, Mt Carmel will play the hosts at Olney for a trip to state in Region 8.
