The Salem Freshmen Wildcats are coming off 2 straight wins. They knocked off visiting Olney last night 57-54. Marquis Ettress hit a follow bucket to give Salem a lead late in the back and forth game, and Keytin Grawe hit 2 free throws to give Salem a 3 point lead. Payton Gullion then made a big defensive play that wipe away the would be tying basket as Salem earned the win. Avery Gullion led Salem with 15, Ettress had 13 and Grawe finished with 9.
This is coming off Salem’s 48-28 win on Saturday over the freshmen from Centralia. Grawe led Salem with 9 as 8 Wildcats scored with nobody in double figures in the win. Madden Thompson, Lucas Deomes and Jaret Gibson had 7 each, Avery Gullion had 6.
The Salem freshmen will head to Mater Dei on Thursday and will play at Breese Central Saturday morning.
