The Salem Lady Wildcats dropped a frustrating game at Roxana 40-38. Emma Gregg had 11 to lead Salem with 6 each from Kale Benjamin and Marah Johnson. The Lady Cats are back in action Thursday night when they host Freeburg. There will be no JV game and its also senior night so they will honor their seniors at 6pm with the varsity only game starting at 6:30 Thursday on WJBD.
The Centralia Annies snapped Mount Vernon’s 34-game South 7 winning streak with a win at Chagnon 67-49. Jalea Sherad needed 7 points to reach the 1000 mark, and flew past that with 27. The Annies clinch a share of the Conference title with the win.
Also in girls hoops last night, Altamont beat Neoga 63-57, Woodlawn over Christopher 59-31.
