Winkler Leads Olney Over Newton For Little Illini Title
Olney won the Little Illini Conference Tournament as MVP Ian Winkler put the Tigers on his back in their 47-39 win over the host Newton Eagles. The senior finished with 31 points and 13 rebounds. Lawrenceville beat Casey Westfield in the 3rd place game 58-44.
NTC Tournament Finishes Up Today, St Anthony v. Dieterich For Title
The National Trail Conference Tournament finishes up today in Altamont. The day begins at 11:30 with South Central and CHBC in the 7th place game. The Cougars fell to that game with their loss to Windsor last night 44-30. North Clay takes on Windsor/Stew-Stras in the consolation finals at 1, t Elmo/Brownstown will tip off with Altamont at 2:30 for 3rd place. The Championship will be at 7:30 this evening featuring St Anthony and Dieterich after the Maroons beat 2nd seed Altamont last night 58-54.
