Wildcats Runner Up At Sectionals, Head To State On Friday In O’Fallon To Defend State Title

The Salem Wildcats finished 2nd by 21 pins to advance from the Carterville Sectional to this weekend’s State Bowling Tournament hosted by O’Fallon.

Salem’s Ryan Detering got the Cats off to a great start opening with a 299.  He would finish 4th overall, teammate Silas Moats was 2nd with his 1338 series and Detering added a 1326.  Dominick Winkler added a 1259 with Rhett Detering and Keaton Gullion adding 1191 and 1181 respectively.

Salem advances along with Herrin, Harrisburg, O’Fallon, Mount Vernon and Carterville.  Trevin Elliott led the Rams with his 1299, Trace Elliott 1271 and Brody Elliott 1147.

Christ Our Rock’s duo of Rhett Runge and Lendon Isaiah failed to advance as an individual.  Centralia’s Davon Cook is a potential at-large advancer with his 1205.
