The Salem Wildcats fell at Wesclin in double overtime last night 49-46.  The game was nip and tuck the entire way, with neither team able to put much distance between them and their opponent.  The Wildcats were playing without Noah Nix who didn’t make the trip due to illness.  Salem had to handle 6-6 big man Seth Macke who used his 250 pound body to push around the defenders and finish with a game-high 23 points.  Salem was led by Gavin Zimmermann who made 5 three pointers for his 15 points, but none after the 3rd quarter.  Connor Tennyson, who hit a shot near the end of regulation to send us to overtime, finished with 13 and Sam Greene added 11.  Freshman Gavin Rahm had 13 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter and overtimes.  Wesclin improves to 20-4 while Salem falls to 8-16.  The Cats will travel to Columbia Friday night before hosting DuQuoin on Saturday.
