The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Marion County and much of South Central Illinois due to the possibility of freezing rain.
The weather service says the advisory will run from three am to nine pm. Total ice accumulation around one-tenth of an inch is anticipated.
Difficult travel conditions are possible and could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
The weather service says to slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages.
