It was a bitter way to lost a game for the South Central Cougars. Playing on the road at CHBC, South Central led by 3 in the game’s final seconds until Cowden hit a ¾ length court shot at the end of regulation with 2 Cougars defending him to tie the game and send it to overtime.
At the end of the first overtime, SC’s Callaway Smith was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 0.8 seconds left. He hit the first, missed the second and hit the 3rd to send the game to a 2nd overtime. South Central would fall 54-48 in double overtime.
Max Magnus led SC with 18, Callaway Smith added 15.
