A 21-year-old Centralia woman has been charged with two felony weapons charges in connection with gunshots fired in November last year.
Tyauna Damron of South Brookside was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm for allegedly discharging a gun in the direction of a vehicle. The second count of aggravated assault claims while riding in a vehicle she allegedly discharged a firearm at an occupied vehicle. Centralia Police say the gunfire occurred near 3rd and Perrine.
Prosecutors asked that Damron be held without bond because she presents a real and present threat to the community and has been charged with similar weapons offenses in the past. However, the petition was denied and Damron was released provided she possessed no weapon and have no contact with the three people who were involved in the shooting incident.
Damron had the public defender appointed to represent her. She is due back in court on March 12th for a preliminary hearing.
