The 93rd Midland Trail Conference Tournament continued last night. Top seed Waltonville knocked off Patoka/Odin 62-42, Woodlawn upset Cisne 52-44. In the win, the Cardinals Wyatt Rollie went past the 1000 point mark for his career. Webber beat Wayne City 50-39 and Grayville nipped Red Hill 76-74. Tonight is the consolation bracket with Patoka/Odin taking on Cisne at 6pm followed by Wayne City and Red Hill at 7:30.
At the 41st Nashville Invitational, Kipp Academy beat Gateway Legacy 41-39 and Mater Dei beat Nashville 46-37. The tournament continues with consolation bracket play tonight at 6pm its Metro East Lutheran playing Mascoutah followed by Gateway Legacy and Nashville at 7:30.
At the Okawville Invite, Carlyle opened tournament play with a win over Gibault 54-42 and Highland over Madison 56-30. Tonight is consolation bracket play with Christ Our Rock and Okawville at 6 followed by Gibault and Madison at 7:30.
The Benton Invitational continued with first round games last night as Pinckneyville beat Vandalia 92-45 and Herrin over Hamilton County 55-35.
At the 44th Carmi White County Invite last night, Harrisburg lost to Carmi 66-57 and Fairfield beat Evansville Day School 47-43.
At the Johnston City Arrowhead Classic, Anna Jonesboro routed Eldorado 70-44 and Christopher over DuQuoin 59-43.
At the 59th Sparta Tournament last night, Freeburg beat Trico 57-20 and Murphysboro beat Steeleville 66-37. Tonight, Red Bud and Waterloo will be followed by Sparta and Steeleville.
Yesterday was the final pool play day at the 56th Litchfield Invitational. Alton Marquette beat Roxana 50-30, Mattoon over Greenville 54-47, Triad beat Nokomis 44-29 and Civic Memorial over Litchfield 74-63.
At the 40th Superman Classic in Metropolis, in opening round games it was Goreville over Paducah CCA 73-45 and Massac County beat Fort Campbell.
