The 41st Nashville Invitational opened last night with Breese Central knocking off Metro East Lutheran 62-19. They advance to Friday’s semifinal against Marion after their win over Mascoutah 64-56. Gateway Legacy lost to KIPP Academy 41-39 and Nashville fell to Mater Dei 46-37.
The Okawville Invitational opened last night with Wesclin over Christ Our Rock 66-48, Columbia beat Okawville 59-29. Tonight in first round action, Carlyle takes on Gibault and Madison plays Highland.
The Benton Tournament opened last night with the host Rangers routing Sesser Valier 62-33 to advance to Friday’s semifinal against Meridian after their win over Carterville 52-47. Tonight Pinckneyville takes on Vandalia followed by Herrin and Hamilton County.
The 44th Carmi White County Invitational opened last night. Harrisburg lost to Mt. Vernon, Indiana 68-54 and Carmi beat Evansville Day School 60-33. Tonight it’s Day School and Fairfield followed by Harrisburg and Carmi.
The Johnston City Arrowhead Classic opened last night. Anan beat DuQuoin 52-42 and Johnston City over Eldorado 53-45. Tonight, Anna takes on Eldorado followed by Christopher and DuQuoin.
The 56th Litchfield Invite continued last night. Roxana beat Pana 41-39, Civic Memorial over Pana 55-32, Litchfield beat Hillsboro 63-32 and Mattoon over Taylorville 64-44. Tonight, Roxana plays Marquette, Greenville takes on Mattoon, Nokomis plays Triad and Civic Memorial takes on Litchfield.
Today is the opening of the 40th Superman Classic hosted by Massac County. Goreville opens with Paducah CCA, Vienna takes on St Mary’s, Charleston, Missouri plays Century and Massac County takes on Fort Campbell.
Today is scheduled to be the opening day of the 59th Sparta Mid-Winter Classic. The night begins with Freeburg and Trico followed by Murphysboro and Steeleville.
