A 39-year-old homeless Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police on a Perry County felony warrant. Richard Burkett is being held without bond on the warrant until he is transferred to Perry County and makes a court appearance.
Centralia Police have arrested a 23-year-old Centralia man, Ryan Scott of West 7th Street, on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of two catalytic converters from two of his vehicles as well as a burglary to a garage in the 4300 block of State Route 161 in rural Kell. Tools as well as lawnmowers are reported missing. The incident was reported at 2:22 on Saturday afternoon.
The sheriff’s department is investigating criminal damage to a car parked at a residence in the 1200 block of Monroe Avenue in Junction City. A window was broken out. The incident occurred around 12:30 on Sunday morning.
