A car caught fire following a three-vehicle crash on Route 161 near Crestwood Drive on the east side of Centralia Friday afternoon.
Centralia Fire officials say one of the cars ran into the roadside ditch and caught fire. The driver, Bruce Lloyd of Centralia, was able to get out of the car without injury before the car became engulfed in flames.
A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to put out the fire with the extinguisher in her vehicle but was not successful.
Centralia Police are handling the crash report which has not yet been completed.

The crash occurred at 2:50 on Friday afternoon.
