A 36-year-old Salem woman has been sentenced to three years in prison after her probation for a 2019 burglary conviction was revoked Tuesday in Marion County Court.
Shannon Garney of West Warmoth admitted to not providing an update on drug and mental health evaluation and treatment. As part of the plea, an aggravated battery charge was dropped. Garney had been arrested by Salem Police in August after being accused of intentionally striking a person in the head with a bat.
After the three year prison term, Garney was ordered to serve one year mandatory supervised release. She received credit for 52 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
Garney will not have to begin serving the sentence until January 23rd.
