First male and female baby of 2024 honored at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital

SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon is honoring the first baby boy and girl of the new year.

The first arrival was Dywon Antonio Dixon, Junior of Nashville.  The son of Dywon Dixon and Hannah Goza weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces just 37 minutes into the new year.

Dywon was welcomed by siblings Kehlani and Za’kaliah.    Grandparents are Shannon Knuchles and William Goza along with Lillie Fullilure and Leroy Dixon.

The first baby girl of the year is Lilly Ann Hargett of West Frankfort.  She was born at 2:02 Tuesday morning.    She is the daughter of Jamie Pruett and Josh Hargett.  Lilly weighed in at six pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

Lilly is welcomed by siblings Payton and Walker.   Great grandparents are Robert Pruett and Scott Hargett both of West Frankfort.

St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Salem provided baskets to the first boy and girl born at Good Samaritan.
