The Salem Lady Cats dropped their consolation semifinal game to Carbondale 53-45. Salem is back in action this morning when they play at 10:30 in the 13th place semifinals. A win and Salem will play at 3pm.
CORLHS Winterfest: The Christ Our Rock Girls Winterfest Tournament continued yesterday with quarterfinal action. Greenville moved to the final four beating Hamilton County 44-19. Pinckneyville over Wesclin 49-29, Father McGivney knocked off Johnston City 49-22 and Staunton over North Clay 57-35. In the consolation quarterfinals, Sandoval beat Vandalia 55-50, Wood River over Elverado 56-27, Chester beat Anna 51-39 and Christ Our Rock over Dupo 36-25.
Today the day begins with with Sandoval and Wood River at noon, Chester and Christ Our Rock at 1:30 then Father McGivney taking on Staunton at 6:30 and Greenville and Pinckneyville play at 8.
Mascoutah: The final day at the Mascoutah Girls Invitational begins today at noon with the consolation finals between Freeburg and Mascoutah, the 5th place game will see Okawville and Vashon at 1:30 and then O’Fallon and Nashville at 3. The championship at 4:30 will see Breese Central take on Mater Dei.
