Another weather system is expected to cross South Central Illinois early Thursday night providing some additional accumulations in grassy areas, but not expected to create travel problems.
Through seven Thursday morning, the Salem Water Plant had received 36-hundredths of an inch of melted snow and one inch on the ground.
The Centralia Water Plant recorded 1.25 to 1.5 inches of snow on the ground with melted precipitation of 2 7-hundredths of an inch.
Most of the snow melted on the pavement, but there were a few slick spots for travelers Thursday morning.
