The Salem Wildcats open up at the Duster Thomas Tournament in Pinckneyville this morning at 10:30 against the 9-1 Carlyle Indians. It will be the 2nd game of the day following Benton and Woodlawn at 9am. Salem is coming off a win at Wood River and sit at 3-9 on the year. You can hear the game this morning and all tournament long on WJBD. Win or lose, Salem will play at 9am tomorrow.
Also today in first round games, Chester takes on Meridian at noon, Olney and Roxana at 1:30 followed by Murphysboro and Okawville at 4. Mt Carmel takes on Steeleville at 5:30, then Pinckneyville plays Trico at 7 and the final game today at 8:30 tonight will feature Christopher and Jerseyville.
