The Christ Our Rock Stallions finished their first day at the Vandalia Holiday Tournament splitting going 1-1. They opened with a win over top-seed Greenville 59-40. Jayden Bazile was great with 25 leading the Stallions. Parker Boehne finished with 13 and Christian Nollman added 12. The win marked head coaching win #200 for Dan Kueper, with most of those coming on the bench for the Lady Stallions.
The Stallions then fell to Flora 53-45. Bazile led Christ Our Rock with 7. Trevor Johnson exploded for 21 for the Wolves.
Flora then fell to Greenville 36-34. Neil Young led the Wolves with 10.
Also in opening day games, Meridian nipped Pana 72-70, Okaw Valley lost to Nokomis 63-54, Shelbyville easily over Cumberland 50-32 and Vandalia beat Okaw Valley 62-56.
Today, Macon Meridian plays the Stallions at 9:30 followed by Vandalia and Nokomis, then Shelbyville and Okaw Valley. Flora plays Macon Meridian then Greenville and Pana followed by Vandalia and Cumberland with Nokomis and Shelbyville closing down the night at 8pm.
