The Salem Police Department has received multiple reports from both individuals and local businesses from an individual falsely claiming to represent the Salem Country Club and Golf Course. The scammer is attempting to sell club memberships.
Salem Police say they have confirmed with the manager of the Salem Country Club that this is not a representative of the club.

Salem Police say as always, use caution when receiving unexpected phone calls and avoid giving out personal information. Don’t ever send funds using gift cards as this is popular with scams.
