The Salem Wildcats have bumped up to Class 3a this year. They will be competing for a spot in the Triad Sectional and includes a Sub-Sectional with Centralia, Mount Vernon and Olney with regional hosts Charleston and Marion.
In 2a boys feeding into the Benton Sectional is a Sub-Section that includes Mater Dei, Carlyle, Nashville and Wesclin with regional hosts Columbia and Breese Central. And a Sub that feeds into the Shelbyville Sectional includes Flora and TTown that will have regional hosts Vandalia and Newton.
In 1a boys feeding to the St Anthony Sectional is Sub-Section B that includes Christ Our Rock, South Central, North Clay, Odin/Patoka and Sandoval with regional hosts Altamont and Edwards County.
The Salem Lady Wildcats will be a Class 3a Regional host as teams will compete for a trip to the Effingham Sectional. The Lady Cats Sub Sectional will include fellow regional host Charleston as well as Civic Memorial, Effingham, Centralia, Highland, Mattoon, Olney and Triad.
The 2a girls Nashville Sectional has a Sub with Breese Central, Carlyle, Columbia, Wesclin and Vandalia with regional hosts Breese Mater Dei and Pinckneyville.
In 1a girls the Nokomis Sectional’s B Sub will see South Central, North Clay, Okawville and Sandoval with regional hosts Christ Our Rock and Mt. Olive.
