A 35-year-old Centralia man has been injured in a single vehicle crash on US 51 south of Wabash Avenue just south of Centralia.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Travis Brinkmann of Sassafras Road was airlifted from the scene by Air Evac to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment of what State Police called life-threatening injuries.
State Police say for an unknown reason the car ran off the road, struck a speed limit sign, and rolled multiple times. First arriving sheriff’s deputies say Brinkmann had been thrown from the vehicle and was semi-conscious on their arrival.
The Centralia Fire Protection District also responded to the crash which was reported at 4:50 Wednesday afternoon.
