The State of Illinois top ranked team and defending state champion Salem Wildcats dominated their home match with Centralia as the Cats shot 3092 to the Orphans 2377.
Junior Keaton Gullion opened the day with a career high 279 game starting with 9 straight strikes and was the high game for the day. He followed that up with a 234 as he led the Wildcats with a 693 series. Dominick Winkler added a 640 series with a 245 high game. Silas Moats a 619 series with a 233 high game. Ryan Detering shot a 574 series and Rhett Detering 566.
The Salem Lady Cats also won their match. Jaeda Rollinson shot a 226 to open the day and a 533 series. Elena Vanhoutin led Salem with a 571 series. Lindsay Holland a 483 and Olivia Paulson 435.
Salem also had 3 girls JV teams roll as well. Leading the JV 1 was Kialee Hardin shooting a 556 series and 217 high game. Mallory Hopkins shot 459 to lead the JV 2 and Taylor Blackburn added a 335 series for the JV 3 team.
