The Mattoon Green Wave used an 11-0 first quarter run and that advantage helped them keep Salem at bay the rest of the night in a 61-49 loss for the Lady Cats. Salem trailed by as many as 21 in the 3rd before coming back and cutting the deficit to 8 before. Kayla Felgenhaur led Salem with 14 Emma Gregg added 9. Salem is 5-3 on the season and will return to Cahokia play on the road Thursday night at Columbia on WJBD. Salem dropped the JV game by 6.
The SC Lady Cougars fell at home to Neoga 67-39. Kaitlyn Swift led SC with 16.
