The Salem Wildcats defeated the Cisne Runnin’ Lions by a score of 67-49 at the Mt. Vernon shootout on Saturday. Leading the way, with one of two double-doubles for the Wildcats, was Connor Tennyson with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Also, with a double-double was Noah Nix with 13 points to go along with 10 boards. Joining Tennyson and Nix in double figures was Gavin Zimmerman with 14, including 4 three-pointers. Also scoring for the Wildcats was Brennan Richardson with 9 and Sam Green, Rygan Warren, and Brayden Rector with 4 a piece. The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday at home against Mascoutah.
