Three people were injured in a two-car crash on the Selmaville Road at the West Main Street intersection in Salem late Friday morning.
Salem Police say a car driven by 43-year-old Rachel Bell of North Jackson in Salem was southbound on the Selmaville Road. She had a green light when making a left turn onto eastbound US 50, but didn’t yield for a northbound pickup on Selmaville Road driven by 43-year-old Jennifer Akes of North Maple in Centralia. The two then collided in the intersection.
Both drivers as well as a passenger in the Akes pickup, 48-year-old Deleana Herron of the same North Maple Street address, were all transported to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response.
Bell was ticketed for failure to yield when turning left.
The Salem Fire Protection District was also called to the crash, but reported no extrication was needed.
The crash was reported at 11:02 Friday morning.
