The IHSA volleyball season will end today with State Trophy games after the Final Fours began yesterday at Redbird Arena in Normal.
Effingham St Anthony lost their 1a semifinal to Galena 25-18, 25-18. The Lady Bulldogs will play at 9am this morning in the 3rd place game against Cissna Park after they fell to Hartsburg Emden. The finals will be at 10:30.
Mater Dei will play for the 2a state title after they beat Rock Falls 25-20, 25-22. They take on Elmhurst IC Catholic who eliminated Carmi White County 25-5, 25-16. The 3rd place game is at 12:30 and the state title game at 2.
Lincoln will represent the Apollo Conference in the 3a state finals after they beat St Ignatius Prep 25-27, 25-20, 25-20. They will take on Wheaton St Francis at 5:30 with the 3rd place game with St Ignatius and Morton at 4pm.
In 4a, Lisle Benet Academy beat Willowbrook and will take on Mother McAuley after their win over Barrington. The 3rd place 4a game is at 7:30 and the state finals at 9.
