Salem’s XC Season Ends At Jacksonville 2a Sectionals

The Salem boys and girls cross country seasons came to an end at the Jacksonville 2a Sectional over the weekend.  The Salem girl’s duo competing this weekend saw Maci Thorsen finish 63rd and Breanna Thurman was 91st.

Also running, Centralia’s Aurora Amason was 64th, Gracie Morgan 77th and Dazey Musgrave of Mount Vernon was 97th.  Teammates Brynlee Thomason and Bailee Pigg were 128th and 136th respectively.

Chatham Glenwood won the event and finished in the top five with Mt Zion, Waterloo, Normal and Centennial.

The Wildcats finished 18th as a team.  Normal won the event followed by Marion, Civic Memorial, Mt Zion and Mount Vernon.

Dylon Nalley of Marion destroyed the course in 13:37.10, over 70 seconds ahead of the runner up.

Salem was led by Caidien Beer who was 48th, Robby Shober 104, Hunter Malan 109, Alex Spencer 115, Branson Pappas 130, Gabe Moffett 137 and Ricardo Salgado 138.
