Two people have entered guilty pleas in Marion County Court.
27-year-old Jerod Rhodes of O’Fallon Street in Odin pleaded guilty to aggravated battery for allegedly striking a victim over the age of 60 in the head with his hand. He was placed on two years probation and given 121 days credit for time served in the Marion County Jail. Rhodes will also have to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health counseling. A charge of domestic battery was dropped as part of the plea.
47-year-old Curtis Scott of North Cherry Street in Centralia pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was placed on 30 months probation, ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and any recommended treatment, and ordered to pay a $200 public defender fee and $750 probation fee.
