A Veterans Resource Fair will be held at the Centralia American Legion at 117 South Poplar from nine to eleven on Saturday.
Centralia Assistant City Manager and the city staff representative to the Veterans Affairs Committee Kim Enke says the committee has put together the event.
“They would like area veterans and their families to come to the free event and get information that will hopefully be beneficial to them and family. They can also get free refreshments. There will be blood pressure screenings and flu shots. We will have representatives from several service agencies who will be there to get information. The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs representatives will be there to speak at nine a.m.”
Enke says whether you are a veteran, a family member of a veteran or a caregiver there will be a wealth of information provided at the event.
