The Salem boys and girls cross country teams had strong showings at the Cahokia Conference Cross Country Championships. The boys were 2nd behind Freeburg led by Caiden Beer who was 2nd, Hunter Malan finished 8th, both earning All Conference Honors. Rounding out the Salem top five were Alex Spencer 11, Robby Shober 12 and Branson Pappas 18.
The Lady Cats were 3rd behind Freeburg and Roxana. Leading the way and earning All Conference was Maci Thorsen who was 3rd and Breanna Thurman 4th. Aila Laird was 16, Ivy Donoho 212 and Eden Russell 23.
Both teams will compete at the Olney Regional on Saturday.
