Area Volleyball Teams Prepare For Post Season Next Week

The post season pairings are out for prep volleyball with Regionals beginning the week of October 23^rd.

The Salem Lady Wildcats open up in the 3a Triad Regional as the 5^th seed and will get the 4^th seeded host Lady Knights in the opener on Tuesday October 24^th.  The winner will get either top-seed Highland or #9 Jerseyville in the championship.

Mount Vernon is a host and will be the 8^th seed opening with #7 Marion while 6^th seed Centralia will get #4 Herrin.

In 1a, Christ Our Rock will open up on October 24^th at Raymond Lincolnwood as the 6^th seed taking on 12^th seed Mt Olive.  Sandoval is the 14^th seed and will also be in that regional taking on 4^th seed Nokomis on the same day.

Woodlawn will play at the Wayne City Regional as the 6^th seed against #8 Bluford.  At St Elmo, 13^th seed Patoka will open with 3^rd seed St Anthony while 5^th seed South Central will play 11^th seed CHBC with those two winners playing in the semifinal and 2^nd seed North Clay awaiting the winner of Altamont and St Elmo/Brownstown.

In 2a regionals Flora is the 11^th seed and will play at Hamilton County against 7^th seed TTown.  At Nashville, 6^th seed Carlyle opens with 8^th seed Chester with the winner to get 2^nd seed Breese Central.  5^th seed Nashville takes on 11^th seed Sparta with the winner getting Columbia the 3^rd seed.

At Althoff, 10^th seed Roxana takes on #9 Red Bud with the winner getting top seed Breese Central.  Wood River is the host and 7^th seed of their regional and opens with 9^th seed Gillespie.  The Lady Vandals are the host in Vandalia and are #11.  They will get conference rival and 6^th seed Pana in the opening game.
